The Confirmation Class for
2003 met on Sunday evenings in The Rectory. The Confirmation itself
was on Sunday, 23rd November at 11.00 a.m. in Christ Church, Drinagh.
This was probably the first time a confirmation service had been held
in Christ Church. As always the church and grounds looked impeccable
for the special occasion.

Each year a group of our
young people are prepared for their confirmation by undertaking a course
of study, reflection and fun,
The course consists of Bible
Study, exploring the basics of the Christian faith, learning about our
worship, discovering the role we may play in the life of the church,
and discussing how our faith influences our decision making. We do this
through a variety of means, including games, videos, activities and
visits.
The course includes a Saturday
of activities with study, games and lunch. After the Confirmation we
are planning a fun day away.
Stepping
Stones
Our post-confirmation
group is known as Stepping Stones . We had a day out with some
other young people from the parish at a local Outdoor Education Centre
in late October, 2002. Among our activities were orienteering, games,
puzzles, kayaking and archery. (see below) More recently we wnet tenpin
bowling in Cork and watched a movie - In America.

Stepping
Stones greeted
the congregation as they arrived at Drimoleague on Palm Sunday with
a dramatic presentation of the events of the first Palm Sunday:
